City Sets Out To Solve Housing Affordability Crisis It Helped Cause

In an effort to overcome decades of housing policies that resulted in a significant underdevelopment of housing, the City has initiated an effort to overcome the barriers to housing it has created. The City hopes to make up for the hundreds of additional housing units that were proposed over the years, but failed to navigate the overtly restrictive zoning and notoriously burdensome approval process, and by law of supply/demand would have lessoned the housing crisis.
